Steve
Earle
In the sin-and-redemption sweepstakes, few life stories in rock compare to
Steve Earle's, and few musical artists can match the depth and power of the
body of work he has produced during his journey. Beginning with 1995's
acoustic "comeback" album, Train a Comin', Earle has been predictable only
in the high quality of his work; otherwise, each album has found him
challenging himself and his listeners. His broad collection of work includes
such critically acclaimed albums as Copperhead Road, I Feel Alright, El
Corazon, The Mountain and Transcendental Blues. His most recent works,
Jerusalem and The Revolution Starts Now, represent his outspoken political
side. He's been busy with various other projects including producing a
record for his wife (Allison Moorer), hosting a radio show on Air America,
touring, and writing his first novel. In addition, his play, Karla, recently
made its New York debut.
