Kris Kristofferson
Kris Kristofferson has earned his status as a living legend. Over a forty
year career he has had his sons covered by over 450 acts and is a time
Grammy winner. He has had 17 top 40 albums and has appeared in more than
100 films, documentaries and tv programmes. Kristofferson's story is fairly
well known. He had a dream to become a songwriter. After turning down a
teaching position at West Point, the Rodes Scholar hoped to get his foot
in the door of the music business by taking a job as a janitor at Columbia
Records. It wasn't long after arriving in Nashville that he was recieving
armloads of acclaim and being hailed as one of America's clearest and most
important voices, having penned such classics as "Me and Bobby and
MGee", "Sunday Morning Coming Down" "For the Good Time" and
many others.
