Hacienda Brothers
Their
mutual affection for classic honky-tonk country and soul brought Chris Gaffney
and Dave Gonzalez, two standout talents in their own right, together as the Hacienda
Brothers. Each a bandleader and songwriter, the two originally joined forces to
explore their shared love of classic country and early soul. They have
since integrated roots-rock, blues and a southwestern flavor to the mix to create
a style completely fresh and one truly their own. Gaffney’s resume includes
leading a rootsy combo called The Cold Hard Facts, while Gonzalez played guitar
and sang in rockabilly-blues act The Paladins. The two make use of their honed
stylistic strengths on The Brothers’ self-titled debut, released last year
